Field Service Engineer – Industrial Equipment
-
Machines Manufacturer
-
Saltash, UK
-
Up to £42.500 + Benefits
We are working with an established Machines Manufacturing company based in Saltash, UK.
Due to continuing growth, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
They are looking for an experienced Field Service & Commissioning Engineer to install, commission, service and support specialist manufacturing equipment at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
This is a hands-on engineering position requiring practical experience working with industrial machinery and liquid or fluid handling systems – for example equipment incorporating pumps, valves, pipework, sensors, pressure or flow control, dosing, metering or process control.
You'll need to be confident diagnosing faults, working with mechanical and electrical systems, solving technical problems independently and representing the Client directly with customers.
This is not a graduate or entry-level engineering position. Applicants should have at least three years' practical commercial/industrial engineering experience. Academic or university project experience alone will not meet this requirement.
Approximately 50% of the role involves UK and international travel, including regular overnight stays.
They’re not just building machines; They’re pioneering processes that transformed the composites industry, including the Direct Infusion Process they developed in the early 2000s. Customers worldwide trust their solutions for precision, reliability, and innovation, but it’s the people who make it all possible.
Based at their Saltash facility when you're not travelling, you'll support the equipment throughout its operational life – from testing and commissioning through to servicing, upgrades, troubleshooting and customer support.
You'll regularly work directly with customers and sometimes independently, so you'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of technical problems and seeing them through to resolution.
No two weeks will be the same. You could be commissioning new equipment at an international manufacturing facility, diagnosing an issue remotely for an existing customer, or testing and calibrating equipment at Saltash facility.
