Mechanical Design Engineer
We are working with an established Machines Manufacturing company based in Liverpool, UK.
They are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. In return for a salary in the region £40.000 - £50.000 along with excellent employment benefits.
You will be designing and developing the mechanical engineering aspects of Client’s machinery in compliance with project specifications, technical regulations, and business objectives, while ensuring alignment with the project schedule
Key Responsibilities include:

Confer with engineers, customers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.

Design, implement, maintain and improve process equipment, facilities, components, products and systems.

Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Direct and co-ordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with all mechanical aspects of specifications, codes and customer requirements.

Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish process compliance relating to site installations, industry standards and specifications.

Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of engineering theory to engineering projects.

Prepare specifications for purchase of mechanical materials and equipment.

Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.

Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem and recommend remedial measures.
Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Qualification

Significant experience within a similar role
-
Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry (desirable)

Excellent communication skills

Organisation and prioritisation skills

Excellent IT skills including MS Office

Experience in SolidWorks (desirable)
