We are working with an established System Integrator company based in Nottingham, UK.
They are recruiting for a Project Manager to join their team.
In return for a salary up to £70.000 along with excellent employment benefits.
Our Client are a leading provider of automation solutions within the warehousing and logistics industry, specializing in the design, integration, and installation of control systems for complex logistics operations.
As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking for an experienced and skilled Project Manager to join their dynamic team.
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of conveyor system projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
This role involves close collaboration with clients, engineering teams, and suppliers to deliver projects that meet high standards of quality and reliability. You will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and developing long-term relationships by managing project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Lead project planning sessions, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with client requirements and business goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed on project status, resolving any issues, and ensuring alignment with expectations.
- Budget & Resource Management: Create, monitor, and control project budgets, working closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and create contingency plans. Take proactive measures to mitigate risks, ensuring project continuity.
- Project Execution & Delivery: Oversee all project stages, from design and engineering to installation and commissioning. Ensure that all work meets Client’s standards and Client specifications.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, provide clear instructions, set milestones, and encourage high performance. Mentor and support team members, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough project documentation and provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in conveyor systems, automation, or manufacturing environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of conveyor systems, automation solutions, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proactive, with a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing project demands
