We are working with an established System Integrator company.
They are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join their team.
In return for a salary up to £55.000 along with excellent employment benefits.
Our Client are a leading provider of automation solutions within the warehousing and logistics industry, specializing in the design, integration, and installation of control systems for complex logistics operations.
As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking for an experienced and skilled Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer with strong electrical qualifications and proven experience in automation and control systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for interrogating, diagnosing, and rectifying PLC issues, as well as carrying out electrical fault-finding, remedial works, and maintenance tasks across a range of equipment and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, interrogate, and rectify faults in PLC-controlled systems
- Carry out electrical fault-finding, testing, and repairs
- Service, maintain, and support automation equipment, including conveyors, motors, sensors, and safety systems
- Provide on-site technical support and remedial works for customers across the UK
- Ensure all work is carried out to company standards, with a strong focus on safety and compliance
- Accurately document service visits, work carried out, and recommendations
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
Requirements:
- Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of PLC systems (interrogation, diagnostics, and fault rectification)
- Experience with:
- Conveyor systems
- 415V AC motors
- 24V DC sensors
- Barcode readers
- Safety devices and safety circuits
- Proven electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel across UK sites as required.
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to be On-Call rota – 1 in 4/6 weeks
Desirable Skills:
• Experience working within automation/controls industry.
• Familiarity with multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/ control schematics.
