We are working with an established Manufacturing company based in Crewe, UK.
They are recruiting for a Tool Room Manager/ Supervisor to join their team.
In return for a salary in the region £35.000 - £48.000.
Our Client is a fast-growing, innovative company operating within a prestigious international organisation.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Tool Room Manager/ Supervisor with strong Injection Moulding expertise to lead and develop our tool room function.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a time-served Toolmaker who has progressed into a supervisory, team leader, or management position.
Experience is essential, and we are looking for someone ready to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities include:

Lead, supervise and support the tool room team

Oversee manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of injection moulding tools

Manage tooling schedules to support production and minimise downtime
-
Diagnose and resolve tooling issues quickly and effectively

Coordinate tool trials and support production start-ups
-
Ensure preventative maintenance systems are in place and adhered to
-
Drive continuous improvement within the tool room

Manage external tooling suppliers and contractors where required

Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping

Support tool design reviews and improvements
We will consider experienced Toolmakers, Tool Room Team Leaders, Supervisors and Tool Managers who meet the following criteria:
Requirements:

Time-served Toolmaker apprenticeship (or equivalent qualification)

Strong experience in injection moulding tool manufacture and design
-
Proven experience in tool maintenance, repair and fault finding

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Experience working within a manufacturing environment

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Leadership or supervisory experience
Desirable Requirements:
-
CAD experience (tool design exposure beneficial)

Experience managing a small team
-
Knowledge of lean manufacturing/ continuous improvement
